Parish Finances
Supporting St Mary’s Oswaldtwistle parish financially, are you able to help?
All
parishes need financial support with rising basic running utility type costs
that we all encounter plus the necessary maintenance to keep clean and tidy for
our comfort.
We
are also facing large capitol costs for the structural repairs needed to repair
the roof and several other major structural defects inevitable in a building of
its age.
We
recognise that parishioners are also struggling financially, and therefore
there is no expectation to give where you are unable to do so.
If you are
able to consider supporting the parish financially, we have set out the options
for donation available to you below.
Thanks to
all of our parish family for your ongoing support.
How
can I donate?
You
can currently donate as usual with your envelope, with cash or a cheque
enclosed.
As
parishes hold their income in bank accounts, standing orders are the easiest
option for your regular giving – and you will no longer need to worry about
having the right cash on a weekly basis, when we’re back in our parish
churches.
Giving
by standing order
Regular
giving is the financial bedrock of our parish. It also minimises risk and costs
the parish has to manage, so your money goes further.
If
you have online banking you can set this up online, or you can print the
standing order form for your parish found in the link standing order mandate and
post it to your bank or parish.
Please
also look at linking your donations to Gift Aid, it's free and easy too, the
parish gets taxation rebates on you donation of 25p for every £1 which all adds
up.
